Finnish researchers discover a new form of hereditary osteoporosis

(University of Helsinki) Researchers at the University of Helsinki, Helsinki University Hospital (HUS) and Folkhälsan have identified a new gene whose variants cause hereditary childhood-onset osteoporosis. The gene defect was first found in two Finnish families.
